@LSXYZ9 One of the most underrated, and often less talked about, issues in League of Legends is an epistemological one. Lots of concepts are thrown around and taught, but are poorly understood, or worse, undefined. And yet, they remain a core part of what it means to be a "pro"
@imogenrbailes, Lucy Hart, Ola Dosunmu – all PhD students based @LancsUniLec – collaborated with PhD students at other institutions associated with the ECORISC CDT to submit evidence as a part of a parliamentary inquiry into the human impact on the environment in Antarctica.
We have had a fantastic first day of the @ECORISC_CDT conference. The presentations were great and we had two excellent interactive sessions. A highlight was @AngelCeballoos leading discussions with the aid of his trusty sword.
We are really looking forward to the ECORISC conference in Birmingham in June. There is still time to register for what should be an interesting and informative event on environmental risks of chemicals. More information can be found using the link below

Join us in Birmingham from the 11-12 June at the ECORISC Conference. Over the two days, you will gain insights into our work on the occurrence, fate, effects and risks of chemicals in the environment. Further information can be found using the link below. https://t.co/mV4NWKSC6V
March for Life UK had their first event of the year on Saturday , Rethink Abortion interactive day went to Crawley! Thank you to the team @ABDiocese and to Bishop Richard for inviting us there, it was a most fruitful day!
Our written evidence setting out the state of chemical pollution and interactions with climate change in Antarctica has been published by the EAC! It was a pleasure to lead on this with my fellow ECORISC PhDs.
Some of us at @ECORISC_CDT have contributed to the call for evidence from The Environmental Audit Committee, exploring the effects of climate change in Antarctica, and the role that UK plays in this. Have a read: https://t.co/2kHerYQm7A
It has been fantastic getting the whole @ECORISC_CDT team together this week to explore links between the different PhD projects and to discuss how the CDT can maximize its impact.

The most difficult part of my decision to leave academia was saying goodbye to my incredible graduate students. Getting to work with this group everyday has been everything to me.
It's nice to be back at Gradbach Mill for the @ECORISC_CDT year 1 challenge event. The groups are working on projects looking at perfluorinated chemical inputs from airports, pesticide emissions from golf courses, hormone inputs from WWTPs and land use impacts on invertebrates.
I have had a wonderful day working with a group of PhD students from Kharkiv and @UniOfYork learning about our two cities and the different environmental problems in the cities. Over the next few weeks our guests from Ukraine will be working with research groups across York.
1/5 - Over the past six months, we have been working on a @NERCscience funded project to develop a series of short videos to help potential PhD applicants navigate the application process. The videos are based on our and our students experiences of the PhD reruitment process.
