Siam Silica = Domestic production and internal strengthening of capabilities for Thai growth. Thais get the full benefits
Pax Silica = Domestic production for the US economy. No internal growth cause we wont do the specialized jobs. US gets the full benefit, we get the crumbs.

Agham spokesperson professor Giovanni Tapang said the Bases Conversion and Development Authority presented an incomplete picture of the potential impacts of the Pax Silica project. https://t.co/p3f8E9udVp | via ONE News

My generation was told to study hard, get a job, grow the economy. But what job exists on land that cannot grow food and air that cannot be breathed? We need a living planet curriculum.
Mga kababayan, basahin nyo tong data at information na nakalap via community reporting sa US, na pinangungunahan ni Erin Brockovich. Read this and ask the government how they can lie straight to our faces about the impacts of AI data centers!

🇵🇭 Broken Promises, Broken Nation
- Dr. Tony Leachon
IBON Foundation has long argued that this so-called “growth” is hollow. While GDP numbers rise, the benefits are captured by elites and foreign corporations, not by ordinary workers and farmers. IBON stresses that genuine development must be rooted in strengthening domestic industries, ensuring food security, and building a self-reliant economy that prioritizes the welfare of the Filipino people over external interests. @sonnyafrica
My opinion :
When leaders are entangled in alleged corruption, when vital institutions like PhilHealth are defunded, and when compassion for the Filipino people is absent, the nation suffers.
We are told the economy is “recovering,” yet ordinary Filipinos face poverty, stagnant wages, and a health system stripped of dignity. The government lowers taxes and regulations for foreign investors, but Filipino industries remain neglected, leaving us dependent and vulnerable.
This is not just bad policy—it is a betrayal of trust. A country cannot thrive when its leaders prioritize power over people, profit over compassion, and foreign interests over Filipino resilience.
The true measure of progress is not GDP growth or reclassification into “upper-middle-income” status. It is whether a mother can afford medicine for her child, whether a worker earns a living wage, whether a patient leaves the hospital without financial ruin.
Until integrity, compassion, and genuine support for Filipino industries are restored, living under such leadership feels less like citizenship and more like survival.

THERE IS NO ADVANTAGES FOR THE FILIPINOS BUILDING DATA CENTERS. Please manuod po kayo ng mga news sa USA kung ano epekto ng data centers sa communities nila.
what's the point of creating more jobs if the basic needs such as water and food are compromised? if this is the only way for you to produce "more jobs", then it says a lot about how INCOMPETENT you are that you have to trade off the essential human needs and the environment.
our country is literally crying for help. may scheduled power interruption, yung heat index yearly tumataas, sobrang init, yung mga tubig din ang bilis nauubos dahil nga sa sobrang init, ang bilis ding bumaha, AND our farmers are super underpaid. GISING NA. #NoToPaxSilica
The Pax Silica project in New Clark City in Tarlac may consume up to 3 gigawatts—equivalent to 3 million kilowatts—daily, according to Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) president and CEO Joshua Bingcang on Thursday.
He said the facility is expected to rely primarily on renewable energy, with BCDA aiming to power it mainly through solar energy instead of fossil fuels.
