@PaintressApril @DiabolicalSpuds There is a big difference between the smell of a cat and a smell of cat litter/urine. You can like the smell of their fur and still find their litter box to be disgusting. Scoop your cat litter folks, even the cats don't like it smelling bad.

@lalafellss Perfectly ok to be 'not good' and enjoy the game how you want. Playing on controller doesn't make a difference though. I know really good raiders who play on controller, FFXIV is well designed for it in that sense. Keyboard, clicker, Controller - you can be good or bad regardless

I find this mix of hoyo style battle game and otome dating sim really interesting. Weirder still, I'm actually curious about the story elements. I like that the MC is sometimes voiced, some of the 'dates' are cute. A game I didn't know I wanted to play has appeared.

When I used to goto JJ's I'd always order my sandwich and ask them to leave the bread in cause it was so weird to me they were taking it out. This is over 10 years ago. What would the point even be doing it to a bagel?

During the FFXIV Yoshi-P panel with Sakaguchi, he is asked the question: "As the founder of the series, what do you believe makes a game a FINAL FANTASY game?"

Here is my translation of his entire answer in verbatim.

Sakaguchi: I thought this when playing FF16, and this comes from someone who also works on the development side, and it honestly boils down to the challenges you come across and the adventures you take on to build a new system for a new game. It's the courage to do so, albeit it is a truly difficult task.

The Final Fantasy series has continued on for so long that you might think, well, why don't you just make something similar like you did before? I don't think that works.

With each new title, you should carry that sense of adventure and courage to take on new challenges. If you can continue with that mindset and move forward, then the gravity of Final Fantasy will start to work and pull people in, which then results in a Final Fantasy for everyone.

I think Final Fantasy XVI did exactly that and faced those challenges, and the game truly made me feel that this IS Final Fantasy.

@aitaikimochi It legit looks like Texas. Was thinking with the city of gold or the whole recently found resources concept for the region an old west vibe really fits this area. Think US oil and gold rush era. There's a lot they can do with that type of vibe. I'm excited.
