Woke up to see people crying about Arsenal hate… Nonsense
Football Rivalry is as old as the sport itself. If anything, the noise has decreased.
City’s decade of dominance reduced the competitive landscape and took the edge off genuine rivalry.
The loudest eras of football hatred were the 90s and 2000s, when Chelsea, Arsenal and United were all fighting for the same thing. What we have now is more people on social media amplifying what was always there.
By the way, the same fanbase that just ended a 22-year title drought and chose to spend that moment obsessing over an individual award a rival player won is now lecturing others about toxicity?
You won the league but instead, the discourse became Player of the Year. After 22 years ohhh
Talmabout Arsenal hate.. Thats another level of sophistry if u ask me
If the temperature of football culture genuinely distresses you, there are quieter sports available.
Lawn tennis is lovely this time of year. Judo has a very respectful community.

@JesseBrite I agree. Quite surprised people are falling for it.
Who randomly evacuates several nationals from another country if everything's "normal"?
Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs cautions that the notice in circulation claiming that Ghanaians have been asked to leave Cambodia is FAKE.
Cambodian authorities have confirmed to us that they have issued no such notice. The Cambodian Ministry of Interior has proceeded to issue a press clarification today stating that the purported notice is “completely untrue” (see attached).
I can, however, assure Ghanaians that prior to the publication of this fake notice, a number of Ghanaians in Cambodia had reached out to us requesting to be evacuated, and are already being assisted by the Foreign Ministry and our High Commission in Malaysia.
Between March and May this year, we have evacuated 85 Ghanaians from Cambodia. 76 more are being evacuated to complete the exercise.
The welfare of Ghanaians anywhere in the world remains our priority.
For God and Country 🇬🇭 🙏🏾
I remember when Rashford's fans used his "success" at Barcelona to come for United. Some swore he was pressing while others were bold enough to say he didn't need to press.
Well, looks like Barca chiefs agree with United fans
🚨🚨| NEW: Marcus Rashford is out of Barcelona’s plans, and there is no intention to keep him beyond this season unless they fail to sign a striker to replace Lewandowski.
Barcelona generally see Anthony Gordon as a better fit than Rashford, especially in terms of pressing and defensive work. [@rac1]
Every day, we're trapped in the paradox of the "Schrödinger’s immigrant", a mythical outsider who exists simultaneously as a lazy welfare dependent & an unstoppable machine taking all the jobs(both skilled & unskilled).
The immigrant remains a highly convenient shape shifting scapegoat designed to explain away ALL complex, systemic domestic failures.
Keeping this paradox alive ensures politicians never have to answer for a decade of chronic underinvestment, flatlining productivity, & broken infrastructure.
People going into bat for Roy Keane because he's a Manchester United legend miss the point. He isn't being criticised for his contributions as a player, that is entirely separate from this issue with Bruno Fernandes.
Keane lied when he spoke about Bruno Fernandes. It has been called a misquote, but it was worse - he lied. When called out, he responded with a childish IG story that dodged any & all accountability for said lie.
If you aren't separating player from person, you're way off the mark. Defending him based upon 'standards' is embarrassing & does not make him or those defending the bearer of them the way they think it is.
Bruno Fernandes quite literally said you're welcome to criticise me but do not lie about things I have never said. If you can't understand understand why all of this is a problem, it's because you might be part of it.
Hello @LCFC
I’m Olaogun, a winger also played as a striker from Nigeria. I’ve spent the last 3 years training daily to get one shot at professional football.
I’m not asking for a contract. I’m asking for 7 days on trial to show you what I can do. If I’m not good enough, I’ll walk away with no hard feelings.
I’m fast, direct, and I work harder than anyone on the pitch.
My highlights are here: https://t.co/nD68FCLsMn
Thanks,
Olaogun

Naomi Osaka on why she chose to host a party for the black tennis players:
“You know I'm seeing a little bit of-
‘Why can't you love everyone for all skin tones?’ and ‘what if someone had an all white party?! First of all I do love everyone for who they are no matter their race + ethnicity, (I'm literally half Japanese lol). I can only speak from my experiences in my own life though, growing up as a tennis player I didn't see many people that looked like ME and I feel like it's important to celebrate them.
Secondly I feel like it's important to note that there have been all white dinners/parties. I don't know how else to tell you this, I literally seen them all the time and never had an issue with it at all. To the people who ask this question I want to ask you this question too, ‘What is it about POC getting together that unsettles you so much?’
I want to end this by saying I grew up watching my dad get discriminated against, having the cops called on him multiple times at the tennis court. There are multiple things I will apologize for in my life but celebrating being black and appreciating who we are will never be something I would consider saying sorry for. Thanks.
Actually I lied, I am sorry. I'm sorry for the people who cannot comprehend in their brains that this is not about exclusion, this is a celebration about how far we have come 🖤”

I once had a girl who reached out to me first and we started talking.
Then I discovered she deliberately extended her reply time. She’ll text me “hi, how are you doing” I’ll reply in minutes (like a normal human being) “I’m fine, how are you doing” and she’ll take another hour to reply that.
I told her if we are going to have a conversation then she might need to reply within normal time. She apologized and agreed and tried for that day.
But then she continued right after, replying after 1 whole day. I too decided to reply after 2 whole days (let’s all be mad together). I basically doubled every reply time she gave, even if I was with my phone at the time and not busy at all.
Then at some point I asked myself “what am I doing? Why am I playing all these games and doing all these mental gymnastics at this age?”
I reminded myself that women are always with their phones and if she wasn’t replying on time maybe she wasn’t so interested after all. And if she was and still playing these games then she wasn’t healthy enough for me to have anything to do with her.
Also, me intentionally replying late also was me playing her games. Games I didn’t need to play.
Let’s say I beat her at her games and she now liked me is this what I will have to keep up with to keep her interested? Endless mind games? Abeg abeg, I’ll pass.
They tell you do not double text, do not compliment, do not call until after so so time, you won’t need to play all these games with a person who actually wants a healthy relationship with you. Abeg let her go. It’s tiring.
I know some people will read this and say “he was not supposed to care” “if he had more options, he wouldn’t notice this.” “He wasn’t supposed to tell her about her late replies”
To them I say, I know the “alpha” thing to do (as taught by all masculinity teachers) but it’s not every time you are in the state of mind to be talking to multiple women. Some time, 2 healthy interactions is enough.
Also, if I genuinely don’t like or am not interested in a person, it’s different. But if I have to ACT like I don’t like a person I like just to keep their interest, then that’s some slavery I want no part of.
I’m a free man and I’ll express myself freely. My behavior will not be conditioned by what some people on the internet think is alpha or not.
Being afraid to call out a behavior I don’t like because I don’t want the person to lose interest or to think I like them too much is an even more unhealthy form of outcome dependence.
The revisionism you guys always do for your favourite players is crazy.
The club had its flaws, but Pogba got enough chances in the number 10 role with a double pivot behind him, and didn't bring the expected output most of the time.
At Juve he was a Ferrari on a racetrack. 1 job: be elite in the final third. Score, assist, dominate. Marchisio, Vidal did the dirty work. He just had to "have a good game" going forward.
At United he landed and got handed the keys to the whole car, the garage, and the motorway. "Take the ball from the back, bring it to midfield, long ball to the fullback, overlap, get in the box, head it, score, and defend."
That’s not a midfield role. That’s 4 players in 1 shirt.
"I have to score today... I wasn't even looking behind me!" That's peak confidence. And it's what we bought. But at United, if you don't track back, fans/Mourinho/ media crucify you. So he started overthinking. Tried to be everything. Ended up being nothing consistently. If we'd had a Kante next to Pogba like France squad, he's probably still here and a legend. Instead we played him with Matic, Fred, McTominay, Fellaini - all different profiles, no real balance.
It wasn't just injuries or attitude. We asked a racehorse to be a plow horse. We wasted his prime asking him to do everyone's job, then blamed him when he couldn't.
If Carrick and INOES are serious, the lesson is: Don't do that to your next Pogba. Don't make Mainoo/Bruno "do everything". Buy a proper squad so your stars can just "have a good game".
