Angel Road was lucky enough to visit City Hall this week and took part in the raising of the Commonwealth Flag, where they were joined by the @LMNorwich! The children had a wonderful time and were a credit to our school. Well done to all involved for your fantastic behaviour.

Questions, cakes and the Commonwealth Flag...

The @LMNorwich and @TheSheriffHat were delighted to be joined by children from @AngelRoadSchool to raise the flag on #CommonwealthDay - a symbol of our commitment to the shared prosperity and values of the Commonwealth community.

The pupils also enjoyed a tour of City Hall and the chance to ask questions in the council chamber. They asked the Lord Mayor and Sheriff about their roles, the work of the council, and the really important things like "do you like wearing your fancy outfit??".

But no visit would be complete without some cake and today they got to sample cupcakes expertly decorated with the Arms of Norwich 🏰🦁.

Tomorrow is World Book Day and we are all incredibly excited at Angel Road. Children are invited to come into school wearing a costume of their favourite book character or come wearing their pyjamas so that they can snuggle down with a story.

Our reception children have been busy making Junk scarecrows as part of their computational thinking lessons this term. These awesome creations will help keep away the birds when the children plant seeds after half term. Well done everybody for your hard work!
