दिल्ली की पुलिस व्यवस्था में आज एक नया अध्याय जुड़ गया। राजधानी को पहला 'ऑल विमेन पुलिस स्टेशन' की सौगात मिल गई है। उत्तरी जिले के सब्जी मंडी एरिया में पुलिस स्टेशन कॉम्पलेक्स में इसका उद्घाटन किया गया। 'ऑल विमेन पुलिस स्टेशन' का उद्घाटन उपराज्यपाल तरनजीत सिंह संधू ने किया। इस दौरान दिल्ली पुलिस कमिश्नर सतीश गोलछा भी मौजूद रहे। पुलिस स्टेशन के शुरू होने के बाद राज्य में महिला सुरक्षा को और मजबूती मिलेगी। महिलाओं के खिलाफ होने वाले सभी अपराधों से निपटा जाएगा। बीते कुछ महीनों से इस पुलिस स्टेशन पर काम चल रहा था। ये पुलिस स्टेशन महिलाओं के लिए समर्पित थाने के रूप में काम करेगा। यहां एसएचओ से लेकर अन्य स्टाफ सिर्फ महिलाएं ही होंगी। यहां महिलाओं से संबंधित कई अपराध दर्ज किए जाएंगे और उनकी जांच होगी। इस पुलिस स्टेशन में महिलाओं के खिलाफ होने वाले अपराध जैसे रेप, छेड़छाड़, ताक-झांक, पीछा करना, घरेलू और सामाजिक अपराध, दहेज उत्पीड़न, घरेलू हिंसा, वैवाहिक विवाद और दहेज हत्या आदि।
