The sudden and tragic death of 72 captive tigers at Thailand's Tiger Kingdom facilities between February 8 and 18, 2026, has ignited a global movement to ensure this is the "Last Generation" of big cats exploited for tourism. Official reports confirmed on February 25 that the tigers—housed in the Mae Rim and Mae Taeng districts—succumbed to a lethal combination of Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) and Mycoplasma bacteria. Conservation groups, including World Animal Protection, are now urging the Thai government to ban the commercial breeding of tigers, arguing that high-density confinement and inbreeding made these animals fatally vulnerable to a preventable disease. As the remaining 124 tigers undergo strict quarantine, the "Last Generation" campaign is calling for a transition toward genuine sanctuaries where no more cubs are born into a life of "selfie" tourism and misery.

Yet another non-custodial sentence for an animal abusing thug! That is NOT a deterrent!!😡
Evil teen HENRY NEWEY, 18, from BASINGSTOKE, Hampshire, was charged following the incident, caught on camera, in which a terror-stricken cat with string tied around his neck was shown being dragged by a youth before being swung around and slammed against scaffolding and a brick wall.
The cat, Marshall, was missing for several hours but finally returned home injured and struggling to breathe with the string pulled tightly on his neck. The traumatised family pet is now recovering after receiving veterinary treatment.
Newey was given a paltry suspended sentence and banned from owning animals for 5 years at Southampton Magistrates Court.
Chinese greyhound breeders trying something different, they are actively mating what looks like an Italian Greyhound with an imported greyhound. On a side note the kennels actually look better than GBGB licensed greyhound trainers kennels here in the UK.
At Egypt’s top tourist sites, Horses with open wounds are forced to haul tourists in blistering heat - even with broken legs. Camels are whipped bloody and dragged through the streets.
This cruelty must end!
