Meet Annabelle, one of our Young Heart Hero Awards nominees who was born in January 2020 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.

Having endured multiple lifesaving surgeries, she's now in the interstage period, and will require the Fontan procedure before turning 5.

Annabelle spent her first 7 months of life in the hospital, and finally came home in July 2020. Her journey has been filled with challenges, but her spirit is unbreakable.

Annabelle’s parents say: “She continues to defy all odds and is a happy soul loving life to the full (even though she gets really tired really easily and often is blue). She is our hero and people regularly say what an inspiration she is!"
