Students are writing their On Demand for our literary essay unit, and many of them pulled out fiction charts, and old writing about characters to help them 🥲. So proud of how self directed they are!
@tamra_snell I don’t like it either. It puts the onus on the student. And quite frankly we use it to categorize, usually for interventions, but it ends up cruel and unhelpful. I prefer specificity. A reader who needs phonics instruction, or fluency or access to high interest books ...
