@canadavisa_com I've been waiting almost 2 and half years to be with my husband. His file was set to complete at the end of October and then after we redid medical and police check on Nov 22 eligibility was changed back to in progress with no updates since.

@SeanFraserMP What about my husband. Going on 2 years soon and I was told he requires an interview but due to covid it's on hold. I know 2 others who had interviews that were later applicants. I just want fair. Give us the interview.

@canadavisa_com Where does that leave us. It's been 21 monrhs and no updates since July 21. I finally got response saying interview required. They are currently not doing them which I know for a fact is false. I know two couples that had interviews end of April and they were March 21 applicants

The Minister Mandate Letter says he should continue to bring newcomers to Canada to drive economic growth and recovery, as set out in the 2021-2023 Immigration Levels Plan. If they do not increase the plan 2022 will either be a year of growing backlogs or very restrictive intake.

A common and emerging theme in #cdnimm is the separation of families within the context of temporary resident applications. Approving the PA for a study permit + refusing dependents, stalling spouses from obtaining Open Work Permits, refusing TRVs for spouses = all very harmful.
