Durante décadas, ensinou-se que os media deviam ser cães de guarda da democracia — vigilantes da verdade e mediadores do interesse público. Mas na Saúde, em especial durante e após a pandemia, a imprensa trocou o latido pelo ronronar submisso: serviu a propaganda, calou dúvidas, vendeu fármacos como quem vende milagres. Hoje, jornalistas são correias de transmissão da indústria farmacêutica, servidores de campanhas e cúmplices das infames portas giratórias. Enquanto isso, segundo dados do INE divulgados esta sexta-feira, morreram 525 pessoas em Portuga no ano de 2023 por causa de água insalubre e condições sanitárias terceiro-mundistas — um número quatro vezes mais do que em 2010. Três eram crianças. Silêncio absoluto nos media 'mainstream' — porque aí não há contratos, nem milhões, nem publicidade.
