This is Maru. They're the friendly Golden Retriever from South Korea's tiny Jukdo Island. Decided the Google Street View photographer needed a buddy, so they followed along the whole time, photobombing over 1,000 images with pure happiness. Best tour guide ever.
This is Boro. He went missing in southern Spain after a train derailment that killed 43 and injured 150. After four long days, he was captured by firefighters and has finally been reunited with his family. 14/10 welcome back buddy
Seeing that the vet office had “sweetest girl” and “very well behaved” about my cat in the notes section of her file is probably how my mom felt when I came home with straight A’s
A dog who was trapped in a mine shaft for 4 days couldn't stop wagging his tail during his rescue. This is Ted. He and his sister Penny wandered off their family's property last week in Victoria, Australia. When the pair didn't return home, their family began an extensive search. Despite efforts, the dogs were nowhere to be found, until a neighbor came across Penny on their morning walk. She was standing at the opening of a 26-foot deep mineshaft where Ted had fallen in, keeping watch over her brother. The Trentham Fire Brigade and the Country Fire Authority rescue team were then able to descend down the shaft and rescue Ted. As a show of gratitude for his rescuers, Ted's tail never stopped wagging on the way up. Ted has since been reunited with Penny and his overjoyed family, and promised to keep his adventures above ground from here on out. 13/10 for all
