@barbbarker17 @CREATEfnd@LWBAustralia@Monash_SocialWk Congrats @barbbarker17! great webinar discussion. I look forward to reading the report. Reminded me why social research matters so much, assumptions & injustice abound. Thx for shining the light.
Imagine if… Creating A Future For Us All is out today!
This book is for him, for Dad. For his lifetime of work, for the lives he changed, and for the love he gave. It’s also for all of you, for everyone he inspired. For the people who are keeping the revolution going. [1/3]
@josephsconnell@lucy_davo Dance indeed. Glad it was all ok in the end for this one. We did the dance pre xmas and delayed travel as we waited for results for days. Savoured the eventual trip even more though, grateful for a negative and whatever family catch up we could have. This is how we roll now.
@SalMaddo@DaisyPearce6@7AFL So great. Also great, my 9 yr old daughter "watching" footy with us, pauses and looks up when she hears that voice and says "Hey Mum, it's Daisy Pearce!"
Having worked in labour market research for over a decade and then in early childhood for nearly as long, I am gobsmacked at what has been achieved in the last few days.
@Lance_VAHI So sorry about your Dad's. My brother evacuated but his house was saved. Now bracing for tomorrow. It is heartbreaking. Communities have lost so much already. What will it take to get action on #ClimateChange ??
@kaydo@trnsfr_design@thisisladyland Thanks Kate, my brothers place is in eloura. I know he sheltered elsewhere but haven't heard from him whether the house survived. Thank you so much for helping all these people.
Saw this in the @annabelcrabb article on the weekend. As a statistician I love a good chart & audience gasp! I couldn't attend Annabel's talk as my husband's work is so unfamily friendly. Living these charts atm! My flexibly means nothing if he has none.
'If you want the baldest possible visual demonstration of how differently mothers and fathers experience work-family balance, look at the graph composed by Jenny Baxter, a researcher at [AIFS]. When Baxter first unveiled it at a conference, the audience audibly gasped.”
We're delighted to work with social landlords to provide @dollyslibrary books to children in their communities. 🏡📚

What a powerful and important (and beautiful!) report. So important that we ask and that we listen. The voices of young people captured so well, great work! @ARACYAustralia @barbbarker17.
Another example of an innovative approach and community partnership to give our kids inspiration, aspiration and the future-ready skills they will need. Congrats @fya_org on $20Boss - 30,000 young people in over 500 schools in the last four years. #ittakesavillage
