From 6pm tonight, based on the latest health advice, the mask wearing mandate will be lifted.
Masks will now only be required in vulnerable settings like hospitals, aged and disability care, on public transport and in taxis and rideshare vehicles.
For the last four days, Western Australians have been fantastic, overwhelmingly doing the right thing.
Because people wore masks where required, followed the health advice, and many came forward for testing, it meant Christmas could go ahead as safely as possible.
