It began like any other campaign rally. Then in a flash, it was chaos. How photographers @dougmillsnyt, @AnnaMoneymaker and @evanvucci captured the Trump assassination attempt: https://t.co/aqQi1dH3U6
There is so much I love about Past Lives, the story, the score, the costumes, I could go on, but Celine Song did what I thought impossible. She made NYC rain look beautiful, romantic and magical.
How many years it’s been since these filmmakers made a contemporary movie:
Spielberg: 18
Tarantino: 16
Scorsese: 17
Paul Thomas Anderson: 20
Ridley Scott: 10
Cameron: 29
Cuarón: 19
Bigelow: 23
del Torro: 15
Wes Anderson: 16
I can’t even explain how good that felt. Playing my first festival and also being back on stage for the first time in a long time. I’ve missed it soo much. Thanks for coming to watch tonight, Boston. See ya next year on tour.
Funny how Rebecca Hall directed the best performance of 2021 (Ruth Negga in PASSING) and then gave the best performance of 2022 (in RESURRECTION) and we’re still living in a world where she isn’t getting all the money in the world to do whatever she wants next.
Ouch. This is a disaster.
I’m trying to recall the last time a studio not only premiered a blockbuster, but also released its review embargo over a month early only for it to get bad reviews. Disney clearly thought they had a winner on their hands. Massive misjudgment.
It fills me with such pride and joy to announce that my version of Speak Now will be out July 7 (just in time for July 9th, iykyk 😆) I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing… and living to speak about it. With six extra songs I’ve sprung loose from the vault, I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) with you on July 7th. Pre-order now at https://t.co/m3KNl71qrY 💜💜💜
I love a period piece if you didn’t know, but @ChevalierMovie had this huge build up with an ending that didn’t feel as big as it should of. Harrison Jr. was sharp throughout, but the ending just fell flat for me.
