@Latarvey I like that perspective a lot. Capturing something people can feel but not fully explain is rare, how do you usually know when you’ve nailed it?
Upon the marsh, in spectral white, they stand
Grave sentinels of some forgotten land.
Their solemn eyes, like twilight’s lingering breath,
Reflect the silent poetry of death.
Each motion slow, as if through dream or doom,
They wade where sunlight meets eternal gloom.
O mournful priests of water, dusk, and reed
You haunt the living with the stillness of the dead indeed.
