After following the recommended courses of action from the @StLCountyDOH & @CDCgov, the 3rd department employee who tested positive for COVID-19 returned to duty today. To date, three members of our department have tested positive for COVID-19. All three have returned to duty.
St. Louis County has been charging First Responders for PPE to the tune of $52,000 so far. I am asking CE Sam Page to stop billing fire/police agencies for PPE & to refund what they've already paid. He has $173.5 million at his disposal for PPE and other COVID-19 expenses.
Since we are often cut out of the conversation by the County Council Chairwoman, told we're "out of order" or told she will not recognize us when we want to speak with opposing views, I've submitted this information for the public comment portion of today's Council meeting.
Final flight: Today is Chief Jon Belmar’s last day! Please wish him well in retirement! Thank you for your leadership and 34 years of dedication to the citizens of St. Louis County. Best wishes!!
I want to take a moment to thank the medical staff, doctors, nurses & first responders who are working tirelessly to help keep our country healthy & safe.
