As educators, it’s hard to shut it down at night. The work is important and complex and never-ending. We don’t have to figure it all out tonight. Trust that you will figure it out. Taking a moment away is part of the work. Rest can bring clarity. Trust yourself and be at peace.
@jmattmiller A tech director in another district asked ChatGPT all the questions it would ask in a job interview and then sent the responses to other directors. The responses were super interesting. Never thought to use it to prepare for a job interview.
@LMS_United I redesigned our HS library during the 2020-21 SY and we are about halfway finished with the JH library. We rearranged our three elementary libs and created our first preschool lib too. Completely in charge of every piece of the redesign. Happy to talk about my experience.
For the 2nd time this year, I am leading the rollout of a new tech initiative. Aug-Sep was the rollout of our new 1:1 devices & now Nov-Jan is the rollout of our new #classroomtechnology#stressed is my middle name 10/10 don't recommend this #grantsmanager#edtech#onlyNovember
Over the past 2 years, I have remodeled a high school & junior high library, & redesigned and updated the collection of 3 elementary libraries. And today I set up my district's first-ever preschool library which is 100% bilingual! #greatday#2yearsofhardwork#library
Don't get me wrong I love my job. With the kinds of attacks on libraries along with the cost of getting your Masters, I see why librarians are becoming few and far between. I know this may be unpopular but you don't need a Masters to be in charge of a school library. 4/
Small complaint. I'm looking at Job descriptions of librarians and I noticed something. According to ALA, Librarians need a master's in Librarian science, but the average wage of a librarian is $42,000/year. How does this make sense? #Libraryquestion#library 1/
Im in charge of 2 IMLS grants, oversee 6 libraries, in the process of redesigning all of the libraries, building our first ever preschool library, currently creating library related student program, but based on my degree I wouldn't be able to get a library job in most states 3/
9 months of planning & work, 2500 students, 6000 devices inventoried, 2500 new Chromebooks rolled out in less than 4 weeks to students, hosted 8 parent sessions to explain the new 1:1 program and insurance plan. Finally done! #exhausted but so proud of the work we did. #edtech
@GoogleForEdu Has this gone live yet? When I click the link for the website, it tells me that I don't have access. So excited to see how this program works with our students!!!
@JayWamsted My mom was my family & consumer science teacher all three years in middle school. She also taught my sister and four of my cousins too. It's weird at times & I just called her mom because there was no way I was going to call her by her last name. 😂
Gone a week and back for only 5 hours and our shipment of cases (over 1800) arrived this morning and the first of 3 shipments of Chromebooks (~600) arrived during my lunch. Welcome back I guess. 😜 #techlife#chromebooks#edtech#soitbegins
@scotto_educator @KayOddone This year is finish up updating the spaces and starting to build programs. They are painting the JH next week and bins for the three elementary schools were finally ordered. So much work but so rewarding too
The first time I was in a crowd that wasn’t family in two years and I get #COVID. Guess I’ll be spending my weekend watching recordings from the #ISTELive sessions I missed, I’ve got all the symptoms except I can still taste & smell. Still happy I attended but dang it.

My favorite part of a conference is the expo hall. I love getting to see & learn about new products. Plus talking to people I often only talk to via email. Also answers to my questions & problems get solutions so much faster. Plus stickers, tshirts and bags. #ISTELive#edtech
