A little about our Founder & how Boots & Briskets Soap Co. came about 🤎🌾🐄

At 17, I had a choice. West Virginia University was waiting. I had the opportunity to play sports, chase a college experience, do what everyone else was doing.

But I chose differently. I chose the Marine Corps.

Parris Island, 2013. MOS 0311 Rifleman.

My friends were at tailgates and parties. I was learning what it meant to sacrifice, being apart of something that is bigger than myself.

But what I really earned was something deeper: “that everybody wants to be famous, but nobody wants to put in the work.”

My senior DI told me that. It stuck with me for nearly two decades.

Every bar of soap we make at Boots & Briskets? That's me refusing the easy road. That's craft by doing. That's showing up even when it's hard.

The Marines didn't teach me how to be soft. They taught me how to adapt and overcome. And that's what we're doing here, building something that matters.
