"It's dystopian for me to walk into a grocery store in South America and find our products, and then walk into a US grocery store and see everything still treated with wax and pesticides." — James Rogers
Technology is rapidly changing every major global industry—except food.
While Apeel’s plant-based protection continues to gain strong momentum globally, we want to bring that same future home to the American market. We are inviting US growers, suppliers, and retailers to join us in building a more resilient, tech-forward food supply chain.
Apeel is the better option the world needs—one that eliminates plastic, reduces reliance on pesticides, and protects our food from farm to kitchen.
Watch the full conversation on @TBPN to hear founder @jamestrogers break down the modern digital landscape, the global resilience of the business, and how we are partnering to shape the future of food.
As CFO of Apeel, I’ve had a front-row seat to the impact disinformation can have on a company, employees, customers, and innovation.
This piece is honest, difficult, and worth reading.
Last week, @TheFP published a piece by Pulitzer Prize–winning reporter Laurie P. Cohen examining the wave of online disinformation Apeel has been fighting for over 3 years.
It is honest, it is difficult, and it is worth reading.
Apeel’s plant-based protection creates an extra peel around every piece of produce, slowing the loss of water and the onset of oxidation without harsh chemicals or extreme refrigeration.
That extra window of stability lets growers leave produce on the vine or the branch longer, so it can reach its full nutritional potential and develop the flavors that only come with real ripeness.
The attacks have not stopped but we are better prepared for them now than we were in 2023. Someone wants to see us fail. But we will not let a coordinated campaign of falsehoods decide the future of food for everyone else.
The era of survival-based shipping is ending. What comes next is fresh food that tastes like fresh food.
Plant-based protection is the future. Apeel forever.

The last couple of years have been some of the hardest of my career.
When you go through a public disinformation attack, it forces you to reflect deeply on what you could have communicated better, where you could have listened more, and how quickly trust can erode in today’s environment.
But adversity also clarifies purpose.
What we went through at @apeelsciences only reinforced something I already believed deeply: our mission matters more than ever.
Helping create a food system with less waste, fewer synthetic chemicals, and more access to fresh produce is worth fighting for.
I’m grateful to Laurie Cohen and @TheFP for taking the time to genuinely understand our story and the broader challenge of misinformation facing science, innovation, and American companies trying to solve hard problems.
This experience didn’t break us. It made us stronger, more focused, and more committed to building for the long term.
The work continues and we will find those behind these attacks !
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon on the Iran conflict:
"I would step back a little when you say it’s a war of choice. There was no imminent threat? They’ve been killing people around the world for 45-plus years. They funded Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, they have terrorist cells here. They were about to get ballistic missiles that can go almost 3,000 miles. They never gave up nuclear. I’m praying it ends well." - Axios
Maduro is NOT the President of Venezuela and his regime is NOT the legitimate government. Maduro is the head of the Cartel de Los Soles, a narco-terror organization which has taken possession of a country. And he is under indictment for pushing drugs into the United States.
Thank you to Leefy Organics for correcting earlier posts about Apeel and acknowledging the facts:
Apeel is an American agricultural science company — not owned or controlled by Bill Gates.
Our products are plant-based, non-GMO, and approved by both the FDA and the EU.
We’re proud to be part of American agriculture, helping growers, suppliers, and packers get fresher food to more people. We believe in transparency, and we’ll continue to call out disinformation that distracts from the real work of building a healthier, more abundant food system.

Totally unexpected to see this today and such a great way to wrap up the week!
Thank you @jillianmichaels and @hertake_podcast for taking the time to dig in, separate fact from fiction, and share the real story about Apeel. Means a lot to myself and the entire @apeelsciences team.
We’ve been through a pretty wild ride with the disinformation campaign against us, so seeing someone lead with an open mind and willingness to understand is greatly appreciated.
Disinfo spreads fast. Facts matter more.
Thank you Michelle Pfeiffer for setting the record straight:
✔️ Gates has no ownership or role in Apeel
✔️ Organipeel was approved in 2017
✔️ Not used commercially in 2+ years
We lead with transparency. Always have.
