Another proof of this is the performance of our athletes of the National Paralympic Team of Ukraine at the Winter Paralympic Games in Italy: 19 medals.

This is a great result. Today, I awarded the champions and prize-winners of the XIV Winter Paralympic Games - 2026 and their coaches with state awards.

At these games, our flag was raised again and our anthem of Ukraine sounded victoriously again. And all this unites Ukrainians around two emotions: great pride and gratitude.

To each and every one of you, coaches, administrators, all members of our team, to everyone thanks to whom this success became possible - thank you!

During the meeting with the Prime Minister of Moldova, Alexandru Munteanu, we discussed bilateral projects between our countries. Energy, railways, infrastructure – all of these need to be realized.

Our negotiating team delivered a report following meetings with the U.S. and Russian sides. They provided detailed updates on how the discussions unfolded and which particular points were most sensitive and which were constructive.

Ukraine needs results, and one of the most important foundations for achieving lasting peace is effective security guarantees. Ukraine did not start this war; it is Russia that must bring it to an end. What matters is that our partners remain actively engaged, work for peace together and consider all realistic proposals. I thank the United States for the readiness to facilitate and assist.

We have reviewed with the team the progress on draft documents essential for ending the war, as well as the prospects for possible new meetings in the near future. I believe more progress is needed. I have outlined our vision of the framework for further dialogue, and we work on the timeline for necessary steps. We will keep our European partners informed about the state of negotiations and the real prospects for the entire negotiation process.

Україні потрібен результат, і одна з найважливіших основ досягнення мирного результату – дієві гарантії безпеки. Україна не починала цієї війни, і саме Росія має війну завершити. Важливо, щоб партнери були й надалі активними, працювали на мир разом із нами та сприймали всі реалістичні пропозиції. Дякую Сполученим Штатам за готовність допомагати.

Обговорили з командою стан роботи над документами, які важливі для закінчення війни, а також можливі нові зустрічі найближчим часом. Вважаю, що потрібно більше прогресу. Визначив команді рамки подальшого діалогу, та опрацьовуємо графік необхідних кроків. Today, I received a report from our negotiating team following two days of meetings and talks in the Emirates — with the American side and with the Russian side. I am expecting the team in Kyiv for a full in-person report, as many aspects cannot be properly discussed over the phone.

What can already be said is that further meetings are planned in the near future, likely in the United States. We are ready for all workable formats that can genuinely bring peace closer and make it reliable, lasting, and such that deprives Russia of any appetite to continue the war.

It is crucial that this war ends in a way that leaves Russia with no reward for its aggression. This is one of the key principles that restore and guarantee real security.

A high-priority meeting on advancing short-range counter-drone air defense. We are significantly strengthening this component within the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We approved the structure of a new command that will oversee this particular area of air defense, along with new management approaches. I also set key tasks for the Air Force team and the Ministry of Defense.

First, protection against Russian drones must be reinforced in our cities, such as Kherson and Nikopol, as well as in the border communities of the Sumy region, where the Russians have essentially set up an ongoing “safari” against civilians. Every day, they strike residential buildings, ordinary infrastructure, and civilian transport. We need stronger protection and stronger action in response.

The second task is scaling up our counteraction against “shaheds” and other Russian attack drones. There will be more lines of defense and protection. Third, we need to expand the experience of successful units across the Defense Forces of Ukraine, so that every solution that has proven effective for one unit can be successfully applied by other Ukrainian units. I met with Serhiy Prytula. I thanked him for his assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, our defense, and resilience. And that was the focus of our conversation with Serhiy – how to provide additional support to Ukrainian volunteers, volunteer foundations, and the very habit of Ukrainians uniting to tackle shared national challenges. I spoke with President of Finland @alexstubb. As always, it was a thorough conversation about the diplomatic situation and all of the options now on the table in negotiations, as well as the broader political context between Europe and America. It is crucial that we do not lose what unites us and that we work together for the results needed not just by someone alone, but by all of us in the transatlantic. 🇫🇷🇺🇦 Macron has discussed the deployment of around 10,000 soldiers to Ukraine as part of a European security guarantee, - Les Echos.

During a closed meeting, he discussed with his party colleagues the deployment of two brigades as part of a multinational force that should form the basis of the EU’s “deterrence force” after the war.

The headquarters will be near Paris. The discussion also included a demonstration of the weapons that these brigades will be equipped with.

After the closed discussion phase, both Macron and Lecornu agreed on “the need to involve parliament in the discussions,” he said, specifying that the debate, with or without a vote, would take place “within fifteen days to three weeks.”

🇺🇦 Zelensky: Today was the first report by Rustem Umerov on the work of the Ukrainian negotiating team in France.

Another session of negotiations with representatives of the President of the United States will be held, and this is the third session of such negotiations in two days.

We expect that, in particular, the most difficult issues from the basic framework for ending the war will be discussed, namely the issue of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and territories.

He also instructed the team to discuss possible formats for meetings at the leadership level between Ukraine, other European states, and the United States.
