No need for Queen's English: I have my own, thanks.
Reasonable, not cheap.
@BethRigby Anyone still being hoodwinked by this over-privileged lout's Man of the People stance deserves the consequences but unfortunately the rest of us have to suffer them too.
Farage isn't the victim he claims: he had a public stage to deliver his vitriolic propaganda uninterrupted.
@greg16676935420 Poirot; TinTin; 2Unlimited; Plastic Bertrand; fabulous chocolate; Le Mannequin Pis; beer (if you like that sort of thing); chips with mayonnaise; Magritte; Bruges lace... a fair few things, really, but I appreciate you were probably joking
Farage trying to convince us all that he's really being heroic with a version of "It is a far, far better thing I do..." and that he has really only ever had the country's interests at heart.
@hughlaurie@jan_murray I started watching House in May on the recommendation of my nearly 22 yr old son. I'm almost finished season 3 and loving it.
I'll stick with it (a) because I'm enjoying the story/stories (b) on the off chance Hugh Laurie will play the drums.
Life is formulaic. Art imitates it.
#EastEnders So, epilepsy, hostage taking, mental health crisis, self-harm, sexual assault...I might have missed something...it's A Lot for just under 30 mins, isn't it?
@GrantSRivers So if Becky is Rebecca Swain, did she take Lisa's name or did Lisa take hers when they married?
Enquiring minds obsessed with tiny details need to know. #Corrie
@bagshaw2112 I listened to an audiobook of his autobiography a few years ago. It was really interesting, though also very sad in places. If you can find a copy, I recommend it.
@suzycoos@chatswithem Oh, you might be right. That was obviously a bit of wishful thinking on my part, though it does account for the lime cordial ๐
@BladeoftheS I think everyone in the 70s and 80s kept their newly-baked Christmas cake in a Quality Street tin, to be used year on year until it finally rusted, didn't they?
@suzycoos@chatswithem Does anyone remember the Quality Street bar? 8 or 10 sweets in a block of chocolate? It was a wonderful, rare, treat even though I think I remember there was a lime cordial one, shaped like a little half-barrel. I don't know when they stopped making it - early 80s, perhaps?
