@arvinja@ThePrimeagen I disagree, with Ikea you have to build your own furniture by hand! It's not that simple for some.. they love Ikea because it's cheaper compared to other sellers that mount and ship the furniture for you...
@fkruta@antirez I used it for a while, but I had to stop. It's not accurate and not even suitable for creating simple MVPs... Just an example: it told me to take a backup file in a dir, and then rm the dir to start over lol...
Btw anybody with some Mistral insider info is understanding WTF the company is doing? They are under delivering so much that there must be a hard reason, either politics, terrible management, total lack of GPU compared to Chinese players, or what?
@antirez I think the EU should wake up sooner... We need an EU AI movement... So while the USA moves with private investments, we should move with public/government investments... However, does the EU government understand what is going on?
What Europe should do right now:
1. Call all the European researchers working on AI and return them back with same salary (or they can stay but switch career).
2. Fill EU places having GPUs with money, and put those people there.
3. AI partnerships with China + India.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

@o_glethorpe@VraserX@MarcusMLA1 This discussion is absurd. You're comparing a car to a superintelligence that allows you to do anything that comes to mind. AI should be used to help humanity, instead it's another product that will increase the gap in society.
@YardKat777@babayagatwt Exactly, that is why anthropic dropped a paper about autonomous agents with the humans out of the loop... Just behind the curve!
@__roycohen@ThePrimeagen That's why they want to stop, the entire society, governments, economy, is not ready for this.
If we want to go beyond, we should remove the money concept, if AGI eventually arrives...
@kimmonismus It will be hilarious when AGI arrives! We will defeat all diseases, we will focus on the arts, the philosophy, the sense of life etc... while we would not be able to afford feeding the family!
@ThePrimeagen The fact that loops are expensive, doesn't mean that AI isn't capable of surpassing human intelligence. The problem is that the economy will adapt faster than humans, once they find a way to make the loops affordable, what will remain to us ?
@__roycohen@ThePrimeagen Tell it to whom is claiming that 2029 is the year of AGI and we need to prepare humanity.
I don't know where the truth stands, but even if there is a minimal possibility that this would happen, we gotta defend humanity, we will get obsolete no matter how we adapt to it.
@ThePrimeagen I work in a tech company that has now imposed limits for codex of $35 in API credits per MONTH. We reach the limit per week on the first day 🤣🤣🤣 It’s hilarious that they thought we would never had to write code anymore to then find out they can’t even afford basic agentic AI
