Underworld has been so significant to Carla and Lisa's relationship. That's the thing that connected them to become more than a resident and a detective, Carla gave Lisa's daughter work at Underworld.

That's the place they met at multiple times and started to develop feelings for each other.

That's the place where Carla decided to tell about her feelings to Lisa, which led to "Don't get dressed".

That's the place Carla and Lisa made their relationship public.

That's the place Carla decided that she'd propose to Lisa.

That's the place they got engaged at.

Early morning thoughts about Lisa, Becky and Carla, and why maybe the abuse in Becky and Lisa's past relationship might not be addressed immediately.

Lisa sees her sleeping with Becky as sleeping with her. Not manipulation. Not coercion. Not abuse. She made a choice and that was to sleep with her. A choice that she deeply regrets. Maybe how they slept together worked how Lisa and Becky slept during their relationship too: Becky initiates, Lisa doesn't want but gives in, not having her own opinion.

Carla sees it as them sleeping together because she doesn't have the full picture, and neither does Lisa. Lisa has voiced her deepest regrets ("haven't you ever hurt..."), Carla has forgiven Lisa, they are able to move past that.

I don't think the sleeping together part should be handled on its own. Actually, I don't think we'll see much convos about the past 4 months happen on screen. They've already talked quite a bit, here and there, especially during the breakup scenes.

How Lisa and Becky slept together (the coercion part) will only come out during a bigger realisation that Lisa will have, she was in an abusive relationship. So now I'm thinking most if not all convos will happen during the delicately handled story of Lisa realising the abuse and working on that with Carla. That I think will be triggered by Thodd abuse coming out.

We know that Lisa never processed the abuse in the relationship. She had 4 years to do so but never did. We can't assume that she'll immediately start processing it, she'll try to fall back to normal routines, that's her coping mechanism. Something has to trigger the realisation, Lisa won't be able to trigger it herself, the trigger has to come from the outside

For Lisa to start untangling the past, she needs love and support. That's Carla. Carla is the person who with Lisa is able to fall apart. She feels safe around Carla.

@sadpphicss I'm also completely satisfied with what we saw. And in my opinion, it suits Carla and Lisa perfectly. It's possible that some conversations will take place off-screen, but today wasn't the right time for that with Lisa suffering from a hangover.

@Louise101050 Lisa was overjoyed. However, she still had a hangover and wasn't quite in her right mind to process everything as usual, and was probably surprised herself by Carla's actions and couldn't believe that Carla had given them another chance.
