The industry isn't set up for small businesses to succeed, so many end up shutting down. Yet, the food industry is ripe for change. This is why you're also seeing newer brands launching better-for-you products and harnessing the attention of those who want to eat healthier.

Outsourcing the manufacturing of the muffins has been more difficult than I anticipated up to this point. It'll be pivotal to figure out whether it’s worth the costs/headaches that have already come along with relying on a manufacturer that's over 1,000 miles away.

I also just found out that the manufacturer is in the middle of moving facilities. Right as I’m going into my first two production runs. I'm not sure why they didn’t mention this seemingly important info sooner. I really hope that doesn’t delay our production runs 😒

“Wheat flour” and “refined flour” are actually the same thing. Next time you’re reading a nutrition label, keep that in mind!
