The "Free State of Florida" Capitulated to CAIR: De Facto Blasphemy Laws Implemented in Hillsborough County

A terrifying constitutional precedent is being set right now in Hillsborough County, Florida, and every single freedom loving American needs to pay attention. Conservative Republican State Attorney Suzy Lopez, an appointee of Governor Ron DeSantis, has officially chosen to weaponize the justice system against Christian street preaching by filing criminal charges over pure, unadulterated speech.

​The facts of the case expose a massive double standard and a direct assault on the First Amendment. I went to a public parking garage at the University of South Florida, a public forum where a Muslim group was holding an event. Note that USF had explicitly told this group they were not allowed to hold the event in that location, but they defied the directive and did it anyway.

​The preaching involved bold biblical truths and zero violence. There were no threats, no physical contact, and no touching whatsoever. I even ate bacon in front of them, a completely legal act on public land. Furthermore, the individuals involved admitted on camera that they had already finished their prayer, proving there was absolutely no disruption to any religious assembly to begin with.

​Yet under immense pressure from CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations), Suzy Lopez capitulated and filed criminal charges.

​This case is a deliberate attempt to establish a de facto blasphemy law in America. The implications are catastrophic. If a group can occupy a public parking garage against university orders and instantly claim that public property is now a sacred mosque where the First Amendment is suspended, then the public square is lost. This is a coordinated strategy. The Muslim Students Association (MSA), which was founded in 1965 by the Muslim Brotherhood to establish a foothold on college campuses, is watching this case closely. If a conviction happens here, it will become the blueprint to occupy public spaces nationwide, using the court system to silence Christians and completely dominate American infrastructure.

​When a conservative Republican appointee helps enforce an agenda that criminalizes public preaching, the constitutional rot has reached a critical level. We must expose this absolute mockery of justice and defend the right to preach the Gospel on public property without facing state tyranny.
