Philanthropy thrives when it is rooted in people, place, and purpose. Day one of #EAPC2026 in Addis Ababa sparked meaningful conversations on generosity, trust and creating lasting impact within our communities.

Day one of #EAPC2026 reminded us that philanthropy is more than giving, it is about investing in people, strengthening communities and building a future grounded in shared purpose.

For a long time, health systems have been designed for women, but rarely with them. 🇰🇪
By listening to 3.5M women across 47 counties, we are shifting the power dynamic. From legislative reform in Kajiado to national policy changes, women voices is our most powerful evidence.
Happy new month

Nomadic women often dismiss check-ups cause hospitals are miles away symptoms get ignored until it’s too late. In #Narok & #Kajiado, we taught women the value of regular check-ups & blood pressure monitoring, linking those at risk to care.
This is what practical self-care means.
What I'm picking from the #InHERLifetime report by @WRA_K and @FINDdx is that health policies often forget women over 45. There are no systems in place to address natural and important health issues such as Menopause. It's about time we embed #menopause care in national programs.
Findings in #InHerLifetime Report by @WRA_K#Kenya & @FINDdx indicate that this is not just about #healthcare; it’s about dignity, equity, and recognizing #women & girls as active participants in shaping their health futures. #Kenyan women have spoken. Now it is time for policymakers, healthcare providers, and society to act. We must move beyond outdated frameworks and build a system that truly reflects the realities, aspirations, and demands of women and girls across their lifetimes.
Just wrapped up an inspiring convening hosted by @femnetsecretariat! It was a powerful space to celebrate wins and shape bold feminist pathways forward. @WRA_K was proud to be represented by our ED, @angienguku .
Yesterday,
@UNFPAKen & @MPESA_FDNFoundation signed an MoU to advance #MNH across Kenya.
For us at @WRA_K , this wasn’t just a signature, it was a long-awaited response to 1.3 million women who demanded more.
This is why @FINDdx is working to design and deliver #diagnostics that respond to the needs and desires of women, not only because women have specific health needs but also because some conditions manifest differently in women and are therefore often misdiagnosed. We must listen to women #DiagnosisForAll
She didn't wait for permission to lead.
She listened to women & acted
