"Test, test, test and contain. That is what we need right now." My quote in today's @FT on the #Ebola outbreak in DRC, where most kits in Ituri can't even detect the Bundibugyo strain. @FINDdx is deploying. The window to act is closing.
Joining Heads of State and Ministers in URGENT convening on Ebola in the DRC and Uganda. 1,000+ cases. Africa must lead this response and be resourced to confront a threat to lives and continental human security. URGENT response is diagnostics, surveillance, PHC, WASH. @FINDdx
‼️ Two more cases confirmed today in 🇺🇬 Ongoing now Heads of State and Ministerial on Ebola in the DRC and Uganda. The asks are concrete. Diagnostics footprint expansion particularly in North and South Kivu. Surveillance. PHC. WASH. The basics save lives. @FINDdx
Partnerships are the backbone of FIND’s work. With 23+ years of operational experience, we help innovators pioneer transformative solutions and navigate the complexities of product development, validation, and endorsement.
FIND is pleased to have had productive conversations with several private sector partners including @pfizer, @MolbioDx & Pluslife during #WHA79 week!
Valuable exchange with Dr. Jutta Reinhard-Rupp, Acting CEO of @FINDdx, at #WHA79.
I appreciated the opportunity to reaffirm the strong PAHO–FIND collaboration and discuss ways to strengthen coordination to accelerate disease elimination efforts across the Region 🌎
FIND’s Chief Scientific Officer and Interim CEO, Dr Jutta Reinhard-Rupp, was honoured to meet with @pahowho Director Dr Jarbas Barbosa @DirOPSPAHO . Their discussion focused on strengthening the partnership and building on synergies to expand access to diagnostics and health technologies across the Americas.🌎🤝

Honoured to join emergency High Level Coordination Meeting of former ACT-A Principals today convened by @DrTedros - timely and critical that we apply lessons learned from covid and put people and communities first as we #ACTogether@FINDdx highlighted urgent need for diagnostics
➡️In today’s global health security landscape, diagnostics are finally being recognized as a core pillar of pandemic preparedness, but significant gaps remain.
Long underprioritized compared to vaccines and therapeutics, diagnostics are essential for early detection and outbreak control.
Although #COVID19 shifted the focus toward a more proactive model, diagnostics are still not fully integrated into R&D and preparedness planning. #WHA79
Let’s INVEST in diagnostics at community level to prevent outbreaks getting out of control like this! Let’s detect early, treat early. Contain in communities. Vaccines 💉 are useful but not the ONLY countermeasure. Teams @FINDDx working on this. INVEST IN Diagnostics!!!
Honoured to Chair & help Launch Africa’s Global Public Health Security and Primary Health Care Coalition at #WHA79 Side-Event hosted by South Africa 🇿🇦 & the Africa Group. We also focused on Investing Better and Investing More in Health Equity, Solidarity, and Sovereignty.
“The resulting tool reflects that collective commitment, and we hope it will support laboratories and the broader public health community in strengthening genomic surveillance systems,” said FIND’s Dr Marco Marklewitz on the newly launched Genomics Costing Tool.
Developed by @WHO & partners, including FIND, this updated tool helps plan sustainable genomic surveillance.

FIND stands with the people of DRC and Uganda as they respond to the Ebola outbreak caused by Bundibugyo virus. With @WHO now classifying it as a PHEIC, the need for accessible, reliable diagnostics is urgent.
FIND has activated its outbreak response task force to support country-led efforts and remains committed to closing testing gaps, strengthening surveillance, and protecting communities.

WHA week has kicked off! 🦟 Today we’re at "Keep It Simple – No Mosquitoes, No Dengue," hosted by GX Foundation & supported by China CDC.
The spotlight is on an 8-point plan focusing on physical dengue control - using chemical means only as a last resort. Success stories from field projects in Timor-Leste, Vanuatu, and Laos prove that a physical control strategy really works! #WHA79 #Dengue #PublicHealth
We are pleased to participate in @ASLM_News#LabCoP session on 21 May 2026 featuring Dr Archana Beri, Principal Scientist, FIND. Tune in to learn more about Diagnostic Network Optimization and the GLI/FIND implementation guide! More: https://t.co/XjXjPNzAUL
