@BarbaraSutton15 I too am aging (more rapidly than I would wish) but government never ceases to amaze me. HMRC told me I had paid too much tax. Instead of just sending it, I had to claim it. I had to ID myself by giving them details they'd used when they wrote to me.

@BarbaraSutton15 Yo Bubsy...I used to be on Warfarin too but, following a 3rd stroke in January, they took me off Warfarin and onto Apixaban. No more INR tests and no varying doses from day to day, week to week.

Or, sell the house and stay in a hotel/B&B for the two weeks of the year when you visit.

@SetCheshire As a Welshman living in Wales, would I be liable to pay a tourist tax if I take a break in Wales. Would going for a meal to a nearby restaurant make me eligible to be taxed even though the restaurant is just 3 miles from my house?
