Between 27 June - 5 July, Anglicans from around the world will gather in Belfast for ACC-19. We give thanks for the Church of Ireland who will host the gathering.
The theme of ACC-19 is ‘Called to One Hope’, inspired by Ephesians 4:4-6. As ACC Members make their preparations to attend later the event later this month, we invite you to pray for all who will take part.
From St Patrick’s Breastplate:
‘Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me.’
May Christ be with all who travel to Belfast, before every conversation, behind every act of preparation and at the heart of all that is shared.

Today is Trinity Sunday, when the Church gives thanks for the mystery of the one God as three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
As we worship the Holy Trinity, we remember that the mission of the Church flows from the life of the triune God.
In the Gospel, the risen Christ sends his disciples to make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Scripture reading: Matthew 28:18–20
‘And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”’
Prayer
Holy Trinity,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
draw us more deeply into your life of love.
Shape us as people of communion,
sent to witness to your grace among all nations.
Guide your Church in faith, hope and love,
and help us to trust the promise of Christ,
who is with us always.
Amen.

From June 27 to July 5, ACC-19 will take place in Belfast, hosted by the Church of Ireland and facilitated by the Anglican Communion Office.
During the week, council members will visit St Anne’s Cathedral, also known as Belfast Cathedral. The Cathedral serves two dioceses in the Church of Ireland: Connor and Down and Dromore. It stands in the heart of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter and is a place of Christian faith, prayer and hope.
One of its most recognisable features is the Spire of Hope, a 40 metre stainless steel spire added in 2007. The Cathedral also contains the Titanic Pall, dedicated in 2012 in memory of the 1,517 people who died in the Titanic tragedy.
As ACC members gather in Belfast under the theme ‘Called to One Hope’, the visit to St Anne’s Cathedral will offer a moment to reflect on Christian witness, memory, prayer and hope.

'Technology has the power to heal, connect, educate and protect our common home; but it can also divide, exclude and generate new forms of injustice.'
Published by the Holy See on 25 May 2026, *Magnifica Humanitas* is the first encyclical from His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.
In *Magnifica Humanitas*, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV reflects on what artificial intelligence means for Christians and for the wider world.
It raises important questions about truth in public life, the dignity of work, the protection of vulnerable people, the dangers of misinformation and the use of AI in warfare.
It reminds the Church that technology must serve humanity, not reduce people to data or concentrate power in the hands of a few.
As AI becomes part of everyday life, Anglicans and other Christians are called to bring faith, wisdom and compassion into conversations about technology, justice and the common good.
