As a reminder, neither the elusive Koi Carp nor the Goldfish have been captured this year. A prize of one full years #Angling Club membership goes with the safe capture. This must be during Hall opening times as the fish are to be moved safely by a member of the town council.

I am very pleased to announce that Shotton Hall Angling Club is now totally FULL!

I've had some wonderful reports of catches over the past few weeks.

It has been brought to my attention that a few anglers are fishing without a landing net. We are trying to promote and develop the health of the fish stock at Shotton Hall Angling Club. Zero tolerance may come into force if this is seen again and you will be removed/banned.

Please telephone the Hall if a Koi or Goldfish is captured and a member of staff will collect the fish at the pond-side. Do not bring the fish up to the Hall, keep it calm in your net until someone arrives. Do not go via a pet shop, we know the size and markings. GOOD LUCK!

#Peterlee Town Council Neighbourhood Services Team have been busy in May. Here is the final #angling platform installed at peg1. All 6 are now in situ. Please note, the ground around platform 1 is always very very wet please keep to the path when approaching the platform.

I managed to sneak away from work for a few hours #fishing on the pond today. A lot quieter catching-wise than last week, but great to see and meet three other members of our wonderful #angling who all had a great today.

Every Tuesday at the Banqueting Suites in Shotton Hall there is a superb café where you can obtain a superb breakfast before fishing. Or, if you are peckish about lunchtime, this is the place to quench a thirst or settle an appetite.
