I still remember vividly when the Hawaiian Myrrh-Streaming Iveron Icon visited our tiny parish. It was truly mind blowing to witness this miracle. Over 100 people came to venerate this icon.

This is our altar icon that was found in a local antique shop. Our priest built and designed the box for it. All the decorations are from resin moulds also made by our priest, he then gilded them.

Nobody will tell you this but you can just buy antique wall mirrors cheaply and repurpose them into icon boxes/frames for church.

Yes I am asking donations for our parish.

Since taking over the new building last summer with a plan to buy we have raised £70,000 of our target of £140,000. A considerable amount of this has been selling teas and cakes every Saturday in our garden. Not only is this a great fundraising tool it’s also been a great way to evangelise the local community.

This is our choir loft, like our iconostasis these were all built by parishioners who offered their work and time for free, we have not paid anyone or imported these things. We have to work on a tight budget.
