I'm not going to make any more posts on here (except replies) until I've sorted myself out. Looking back at what I've tweeted here is pretty embarrassing.
Maybe eventually I will be content with myself and can actually contribute something meaningful here.
@solar_sorcerer@lennartprimal Hope I never have kidney stones...
Yeah we always boil potatoes here, even if you were to roast them after. My go-to is to boil and then make mash, usually with butter but sometimes milk.
@lennartprimal Not as primal as yours, I still eat a lot of cooked meat.
I avoid veg and most grains, still occasionally fall for a pasta dish or sourdough pizza or something.
Surely that can't be the main problem, as most people eat way worse than me yet have clear skin.
@lennartprimal Yeah nothing against making a living like that, take advantage of whatever systems work for you (unless they go against your ethics).
I should look into doing something on the side, just to top myself up, but I'm going to push for a raise/promotion in the next month too.
@lennartprimal Acne (was ok last summer, now it's worse again) and being anxious, although it's probably more like insecurity.
The first one is just cut out sugar I suppose? I really like fruit and honey though, must I give those up? Then just need a way to reduce the inflammation.
@Valhrolf It's a good quality for sure, and yes it's not a bad thing to stand out like this.
I've had people interested in me too when I say I don't watch TV and never plan to have one in my own home.
@Valhrolf When LotR comes up I have to resist the urge not to lore dump or fascinate over the more obscure things.
"Yeah I also think Pippin is a funny character haha"
*secretly thinking about which of the noble houses of Gondolin is the best*
@Valhrolf This is also me with most film, TV, music and sport. I know nothing, and that doesn't bother me at all.
I find it doesn't really hinder conversation with "normal" people either, I just find a way to change topic to something relatable or shoehorn in my niche interests.
