Lida Alexani urgently needs your prayers as she faces a 13-year prison sentence in Evin Prison, Iran.
Lida is 58 years old and is married to Joseph Shahbazian, an Iranian-Armenian pastor who is serving a 16-year sentence for his involvement in a house church.
Lida has already endured a month in prison, much of it in solitary confinement, and now faces Iran's notorious Evin Prison.
Please pray
- That God would comfort Lida and Joseph, and protect Lida from imprisonment in Evin Prison
- For strength and grace to persevere for Lida and Joseph as they face an unsettling future
- That the Lord would be close to His children in prison and facing persecution in Iran and bring about perfect justice for their sake.

Pastor Michée was away from the village when he heard that his father had been killed in an attack.
He later learnt that his brothers and uncles were also amongst the 31 people who died.
Next month, the Arise Africa petition is being delivered to the UK government to highlight the extreme violence facing believers like Pastor Michée’s family.

Remembering Martyrs: On this day in 1536, William Tyndale was burned at the stake for translating the Bible into English. His last words were "Lord, open the king of England's eyes."

Will you give, pray and speak up to honour the memory of the martyrs, and for those who loved them?
In this picture, Pastor Michée holds a photo of his father, who was killed in an attack by Islamist militants in Burkina Faso.
Thousands of Christians in sub-Saharan Africa are killed every year as escalating violence rips through Christian communities.
Believers in the region, like Pastor Michée, are desperate for the killings to stop and the healing to start – and here are three things you can do:
1. Give financially to support initiatives like trauma care
2. Speak up by adding your voice to the Arise Africa petition
3. Pray by downloading our month of prayer.

The impact of trauma care provided by Open Doors local partners in sub-Saharan Africa is incalculable.
It’s helping countless believers, like Nathalie in Burkina Faso, to heal from their devastating ordeals, renew their relationship with God and forgive those who’ve caused them such extreme pain.
But the scale of the need is huge in Burkina Faso and across sub-Saharan Africa. Many more believers need to know they aren’t alone – that their global family hasn’t forgotten them, and that God never abandoned them.

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day.
With that in mind, I wanted to remind you of this video produced by Norwich City; it remains one of the most profound things I've ever seen produced on the subject.
