@RyanGassn@RTalavlikar@mantalicious Right now if you show up and don’t have a card the hospital can find you with your name and address. And you get coverage if you should. The problem is this government removing the coverage. All the other info is already there.
@RyanGassn@RTalavlikar@mantalicious However they want to do it I wouldn’t be mad as long as people who arrive in the ER and live in Alberta get the coverage they are owed and the physician gets paid for their work. Which with the current plan won’t happen for those who don’t “register”.
@RyanGassn@RTalavlikar@mantalicious Don’t know how often it gets updated. Sounds like a great idea for the govt to do instead of blanket removing everyone and making re-register. The card is fine. Updating healthcare is fine. Removing people coverage unless they do red tape steps is the problem.
@RyanGassn@mantalicious It’s not the physical card it’s the renewing of your healthcare that is the issue. I think the card itself is a great idea. The bad thing is kicking people off of healthcare for not “registering”.
@RyanGassn@mantalicious I have a feeling you haven’t been to a rural hospital for a while. Particularly those near reserves which is many of them. Lots of people would not be able to manage the red tape this government is creating to get coverage
@jasondemers5 I think everyone needs to calm down. Who cares. Knob still gets his contract paid out. Oilers move on. So someone leaked what all teams do in trying to find a better option before firing.
