I bet all the losers who were defiant the Red Sox weren't a threat laughed off the 4-game sweep in June as nothing to be concerned with. They were still a bad team, right? Yankees had Judge out, right? Everything was fine, right?
Next season (whenever that may be), we need to scrapbook all the worst overoptimistic Cashman/Boone sympathizer tweets and write a book off it.
George Lombardi Jr getting called up the day after Brian Cashman has a disastrous deadline was so hysterically obvious to anyone who follows this franchise.
Should’ve been called up 2 weeks ago but this was always the safety parachute plan to distract fans today.
The Yankees went from up 7-6 to down 9-7 as their bullpen has surrendered four runs and was worked to death in Chicago but hey man at least you will hypothetically have Clarke Schmidt pitching here in 4 weks
Cashman inherited a dynasty and squandered it. Schilling had his bags packed for NY, Cashman trades a mint for Javier Vasquez instead. Let El Duque and Wells walk out the door. Passed on signing Beltran. Spent real $ on Jaret Wright. These were all obvious blunders at the time
Its Over
-Well I don't think they feel good about Judge returning; hence they got Ramos
-Garcia is fine but they also have 3 1b/DH types and Stanton seems to be swinging a bat
-They were not going to spend trade chips on pen pieces other than Miller, it was Miller or bust and we got bust
-However you look at it the pen is short and on fumes good luck with that
-Not getting a catcher is stunning, like no one...JFC thats bad and unexcusable
-They did not clear the 40 or rule 5 guys
-What's Volpe's future with talk of Lombard
-In closing this deadline felt like 2023, they know Judge is hurt and not investing in improving the team
They don't obviously give a shit why should I
Cashman has decided that Aaron Judge doesn’t deserve a ring. He decided that Gerrit Cole doesn’t deserve a ring. He decided Stanton doesn’t deserve a ring.
He will make 2-3 more moves that are C tier moves that could have all been avoided if he stopped prospect hugging.
George Steinbrenner would have swooped in immediately to get Skubal, Adley, and Arraez to the Yankees just so all those teams DIDN’T get them. We’re missing that aggression in the front office.
Apparently the Giants GM called Brian Cashman and said: “Hey, I heard you’re interested in Luis Arraez. You need contact hitters.”
Cashman was like:
“Hmm… I dunno. You got any fat, slow outfielders who strike out a lot and don’t hit for power?”
We’re at the point now where anyone assigned to critique the work of Brian Cashman and the Yankees should be irate at the behavior of this franchise during the deadline.
This franchise moves like a middle market waiting around for opportunistic deals to fall in their laps
AARON JUDGE IS 34 YEARS OLD. THE LOCKOUT IS NEXT YEAR. JUDGE WILL BE 36 IN 2028. HE IS WASTING HIS PRIME YEARS WITH THESE GARBAGE ASS TEAMS HE HAS AROUND HIM GO ALL IN TODAY AND MAKE ALL THE FUCKING MOVES TO IMPROVE THIS TEAM FOR YOUR TEAM CAPTAIN YOU FUCKING RETARD
