This is Amazon's new $11 billion AI data center campus in St. Joseph County, Indiana.

It will draw 2.2 GW of electricity, the output of a large power plant, enough to supply 1 million homes.

For years, the public was told energy had to be rationed. Use less. Dismantle reliable sources. Accept scarcity. All to save the planet.

That story has now been abandoned.

AI requires massive continuous electricity to power the data centers. And AI is now seen as the superior 'control system'. So energy is no longer a liability. It is a strategic necessity.

Power will now come from wherever it can. Whatever works. Whatever scales. The climate narrative was tossed out the moment AI dominance became the priority. Power was to be rationed. Now it is required. Power was the problem. Now it is the solution.
