Atlassian’s acquisition of 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 is more than an 𝗠&𝗔 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲, it’s a signal. Browsers are evolving from 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗨𝗜𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗜-𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 that orchestrate work across apps, turning tab-wrangling into outcome-driven autopilot.

That means 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗶𝘃𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘆, 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲-𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 that orchestrate workflows.

🚀 While building my latest AI Agent, I learned some important lessons about moving from prototype to production:

1️⃣ Frameworks like LangChain or CrewAI are great for prototyping — they let you quickly chain tools, APIs, and models.
But for real-world, production-grade agents, these frameworks can become limiting due to overhead, debugging complexity, and lack of fine-grained control.
2️⃣ MCP (Model Context Protocol) is powerful when working with existing AI-native tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
However, if you’re building your own agent from scratch, going with raw, custom-built actions and direct integrations often leads to better performance and maintainability.
3️⃣ Memory doesn’t have to be complex at the start — even a simple JSON file storing context can work.
As your agent grows and handles more data, you can scale up to databases or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) for richer, context-aware responses.

💡 The key takeaway:
Prototype fast with frameworks, but don’t be afraid to strip things down and build custom when you move to production. Start simple, then scale.
