👀 True or false? Foster carers receive financial support🤔
✅ True! Foster carers receive an allowance to help cover the costs of caring for a child, as well as a fee for themselves. Fostering is about supporting a child but financial support is there too. 🥰
True or False? 👀 I can’t foster because I’m LGBTQ+ 🤔
False!! You can foster regardless of your sexual orientation or identity. What matters most is you are there to care for and support children or young people. 🫶🏻
...so we can provide the best care for local children."

Have you ever considered fostering & the difference you could make right at the very start of a child’s life? Foster carers like Lorraine support parents & their babies through some of their most life-changing moments, offering reassurance, guidance & compassion when it’s needed.
There are different types of #fostering, including short break carers who help out when they can — like an overnight stay, a weekend now and then, or during school holidays. It’s flexible and can fit around a job too. ♥️
