The like of Piers Morgan thinks the pomp & circumstance of the coronation shows Britain at its best. The reality is the polar opposite. It’s an obscene embarrassment. The most expensive cosplay ever devised, paid for by taxpayers who feed their families from food banks, don’t have a living wage, struggle to get healthcare and many who subsist rather than live.

It’s this pathetic clinging to a deceased Empire, the obsession with WWII, and the desperate need to validate our imagined mythical superiority, that is the reason this country is now more isolated, irrelevant, derided & anachronistic than ever.

Rather than be an equal in a community of nations, many cling to a fictitious version of the past because they’re too afraid to face the diminished stature of the present, and the real challenge of the future.

Basically treating other countries like a homeless, drug addled tramp, shouting at the kids graduating Uni about that time they beat them up in nursery.

Demanding superior treatment based on a blood soaked history, while clinging to WWII as the absolution for the limitless horrifying crimes of empire & state.

Ruled by laughable, deeply unintelligent, criminal, evil buffoons, because they have posh accents.
The elites in this country have the sheep so well trained over centuries, that they tug their forelocks at the very sight of a public school uniform, never mind a coronation.

This parade of the delusional and the deluded, will be viewed by most of the world as they would view the parade at Disneyland. As amusing entertainment with no substance, and only to be participated in by adults if it amuses their children.

The difference is Mickey doesn’t require an oath of allegiance or 100m spent putting him on a pedestal above his fellow characters. For the organisers of the parade to then expect to be taken seriously internationally, by deeply serious & intelligent people is just as absurd as this analogy seems.

Tomorrow cements and epitomises a vast number of the ills which ail us.
As citizens of a modern, progressive country it should be a humiliation.

However, we’re neither modern nor progressive & as such, millions will rejoice in paying for the cringeworthy fancy dress party of the inbred billionaire before whom they prostrate themselves.
