Help me, share 🙏🏻😭
Governor NewsomGavin Newsom
I am writing to request your assistance in bringing urgent attention to the case of my close friend, Chuong Nguyen Dong, who was recently detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after attending his annual check-in.
Chuong has fully turned his life around and has contributed greatly to our community. He successfully went through the legal process to have his past record pardoned by the California Supreme Court, which recognized his rehabilitation and granted the pardon. Despite this, his current detention now requires the intervention of Governor Gavin Newsom to issue a gubernatorial pardon to prevent his removal from the country.
Chuong is not only a friend and mentor to many but also a highly respected professional. He is a certified Inspector of Record (IOR) by the California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) and is renowned for his integrity and expertise in his field. His guidance has helped friends, family, and colleagues build stable, successful lives.
We are urgently trying to reach Governor Newsom’s office to present this case, but have had difficulty getting our message through. I am seeking your help to raise public awareness and, if possible, to help us open a line of communication with the Governor’s office.
This is a matter of fairness and humanity. A man who has earned legal redemption and contributed so much to California now faces permanent separation from his family and community.
Thank you for considering this request. Your assistance could make a life-changing difference. I would be happy to provide documentation of the Supreme Court’s pardon, letters of support, and any other information you may need.
