THANK YOU #BENGAL!

On this day in 2021, people of Bengal decisively rejected the hate-mongers and chose PEACE, UNITY and REAL DEVELOPMENT.

Celebrating #MaaMatiManush today and everyday.

MiLords - We are advised by your courts to become freedom fighter & face egg attacks. But will you have courage to listen to one of your own tribe calling out his brother? Freedom fighters Khudiram Bose, Prafulla Chaki attacked Magistrate Douglas Kingsford, Mohammed Abdullah attacked Chief Justice John Norman. Freedom
in India’s history has often been reclaimed from the courts as well. Jai Hind.

A father - his minor son and son’s friend - paraded naked in #Kolkata for over an hour. Incident happened in Behala. The minor son was caught with a minor girl, happened to be friends. Girl’s family allegedly got goons, confronted the family and then at a kangaroo court stripped the three allegedly at gun point. The father, the son and the son’s friend paraded naked as people filmed them. Police have arrested 3. Search for others on. Has something like this happened in #Bengal before?

The #Chorbagan #KolkataStampede had killed my #DurgaPuja celebratioans - this has been one of the most difficult feelings I have encountered. Deceased were all dressed up in festive spirits.

But this video hurts more. Have never seen Maa Durga being treated like this. Ropes tied around her waist! What a hurtful sight. No rituals before bidding her goodbye, police all around! If they lacked wherewithal then could have simply called fire brigade to melt her down - like it happens at many other places. Who ties rope around the Mother? The incident happened on Saptami which means worshipping this idol had already begun. As a sanatani Hindu I feel ashamed and let down.

SHAME: Yet another shocking attack on poor Christian rural families in Bengal. How many more heads (if any) will hang in shame? Actions like this carried out with growing impunity lower our global image: this ‘dark’ side of India is far from being the promised ‘sabka saath’. https://t.co/L3tQX2VOxh

First, Bengal witnessed chaos and utter mismanagement.

Now, we are left wondering: where has @SuvenduWB’s BHAIPO, who also happens to be the Chief Patron of Chorebagan Club, DISAPPEARED?

This insult will remain etched in the minds of Bengalis for a long time, as Maa is left unattended on the road ahead of immersion.

Those who deliver loud sermons on religion and perform grand displays of piety have shown a shocking disregard for Maa, committing such an act without even an iota of shame.

It is the innocent people who are being made to bear the brunt of the CM’s partiality and repeated failure.

How low will the @BJP4Bengal administration stoop? And how long will @KolkataPolice continue to act like puppets of the BJP instead of upholding their duty impartially?

Truly shameful!

[Jawhar Sircar @jawharsircar]

Shame.

[Nilanjan Das @NilanjanDasAITC]

“Have you ever seen any government give ₹25 lakh in compensation?” asks @SuvenduWB. Nothing could be more callous, insensitive & utterly devoid of empathy.

Instead of accepting responsibility for the catastrophic failure of his government, the CM resorts to shameless whataboutery, ranting about what the ex-CM did during natural calamities.

Sir - never before has a tragedy of this magnitude struck during Durga Puja as the Chorebagan Sarbojanin stampede has. Your administration & party functionaries bear direct responsibility for this preventable tragedy and must be held accountable for criminal negligence & dereliction of duty.

[Jawhar Sircar @jawharsircar]

Gen Z on the job.

BJP slaps Yusuf Pathan with an encroachment notice when he is a TMC MP. He quits TMC, and suddenly, the Gujarat government rewards him with the very same disputed land!

From encroachment notice to land allotment ; all it takes is switching sides!

The BJP’s Double Engine Government is nothing but a Double Engine Washing Machine!

[Jawhar Sircar @jawharsircar]

What a gaddaar !

[All India Trinamool Congress @AITCofficial]

ChorBagan Sarbojonin was awarded “Best of the Best Durga Puja” by the @BJP4Bengal government this year.

Yesterday, the CM blamed the theme and low lighting for the problems faced by visitors. Yet the same Puja was recognised for Best Lighting, Best Pandal and Best Environment-Friendly Puja.

So, what exactly was being judged? Spectacle over safety? Awards over accountability?

When a Puja is celebrated as the best, who takes responsibility when public safety fails?

[Nilanjan Das @NilanjanDasAITC]

@keyakahe 19 visitors have died in Bhaipo @DebdeepWB’s Chorebagan massacre. No casualties were reported in 2015 Deshapriya Park incident. We had an administration that knew its job.

[All India Trinamool Congress @AITCofficial]

Guess who is closely associated with the Chorebagan Puja Pandal?

@SuvenduWB’s BHAIPO.

A @BJP4Bengal MLA also happens to be the Chairman of this Puja Committee!

Where is the accountability? Who is responsible for all these deaths? When will the CM, who clearly has NO SHAME, resign?!

https://t.co/OBvFvh15YQ

[All India Trinamool Congress @AITCofficial]

No police, no civic volunteers, no ambulances, no crowd management! This is what local residents are stating in the wake of the tragic stampede at Chorebagan Puja Pandal.

@KolkataPolice and the @BJP4Bengal administration must answer for these grave lapses. Public safety cannot be treated so casually.

As the death toll rises, who will take responsibility? Will @SuvenduWB accept accountability and resign?

On the very day @AmitShah arrives, Bengal is confronted with this heartbreaking tragedy.

Shameful state of affairs!

[All India Trinamool Congress @AITCofficial]

.@KolkataPolice - HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME!

Local people and pandal visitors are repeatedly claiming that there were no police personnel to manage the crowd and despite the stampede, local people rescued the victims!

There were no ambulances, no rescue efforts visible. Common people rescued victims in Ola & Uber.

Why does the @BJP4Bengal administration continue failing citizens and protecting VIPs?

[All India Trinamool Congress @AITCofficial]

Never in our bloodline we have seen a stampede in #DurgaPuja & people dying!
