Was great to engage with @EP_President Roberta Metsola, Meta’s Markus Reinisch, and Italian Vice Minister for Enterprise @Vale_Valentini_ at Meta’s Brussels AI Symposium. We all spoke positively about the challenges and the potential of encouraging innovation and releasing Europe’s full potential in the AI space. President Trump places AI leadership at the top of the U.S. foreign policy agenda. Impressive to see the progress made by @META and @EssiLux – American and European companies working together to innovate and propel immersive AI technologies. The future of innovation and strategic cooperation will shape the next phase of the AI economy.
I want to thank @AmChamEU for organizing this wonderful event.
Over six and a half months have passed since the Joint Statement was released and about 8 months since the meeting at Turnberry. The United States quickly responded, bringing tariffs to historically low most-favored nation rates –on planes and plane parts and on generic pharmaceuticals, among other sectors. To demonstrate our good faith, particularly for our friends in Germany, we brought tariffs on cars down from 27.5 percent to 15 percent.
Nonetheless, EU tariffs on US goods haven’t changed.
We understand that the EU must follow its process. But we’re hopeful that, after 6 and a half months, the time has come – and we’ve respectfully requested that – the EU finalize the deal so we can mutually unlock the potential for positive collaboration – for the betterment of our economies and our joint security.

Przeprowadzi też z uczestnikami warsztaty, aby sami spróbowali stworzyć kampanię advocacy i zmienić politykę UE!

As Prime Minister Frederiksen explained today, these are hybrid attacks, there will most likely be more of them and the security threat is very, very real.
There is an aggressor: Russia.
There is a victim: Ukraine.
We were right to help Ukraine and sanction Russia three years ago—and to keep doing so.
By “we,” I mean the Americans, the Europeans, the Canadians, the Japanese, and many others.
Thank you to all who have helped and continue to do so. And respect to those who have been fighting since the beginning—because they are fighting for their dignity, their independence, their children, and the security of Europe.
Your dignity honors the bravery of the Ukrainian people.
Be strong, be brave, be fearless.
You are never alone, dear President @ZelenskyyUa.
We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace.
No-one will stop Putin with phone calls. The attack last night, one of the biggest in this war, has proved that telephone diplomacy cannot replace real support from the whole West for Ukraine. The next weeks will be decisive, not only for the war itself, but also for our future.
De stad is van iedereen. Daarom maken we ze nog elke dag beter met…

Why do American cities feel less "alive" than their European counterparts?
It's because of something called the "missing middle".
A century ago, American cities looked completely different... (thread) 🧵
#Gaza has become hell on earth. Families continue to seek refuge, trying to escape war, but there is no such thing as a safe place in the Gaza Strip.
No one is safe: not civilians, not aid workers, no one has been spared. We need a #CeasefireNow.
Horrified by news coming out of #Rafah on Israeli strikes killing dozens of displaced persons, including small children. I condemn this in the strongest terms.
There is no safe place in Gaza. These attacks must stop immediately. ICJ orders & IHL must be respected by all parties.
Today, marks a new chapter for Poland.
After more than 6 years, we believe that the Article 7 procedure can be closed.
I congratulate PM @donaldtusk and his government on this important breakthrough.
This is a result of 🇵🇱 hard work and determined reform efforts.
The death of Navalny shows “Putin’s playbook hasn’t changed. This is the way he operates. This is the dictator’s handbook in real life,” Estonian Prime Minister @kajakallas tells me. “History rhymes. We have seen this already in 1930s… Let’s learn something from the history.”
Hundreds of people have been arrested across Russia today for the crime of laying down flowers at a memorial for Alexei Navalny.
But hey, at least the metro station in Moscow is nice.
