UNRWA is more than an agency.
We are teachers helping children learn, nurses providing healthcare, social workers supporting families and frontline staff meeting needs on the ground every day.
Behind the disinformation are real people, real needs and real rights.

Grave concern over the situation in #Hebron.
For nearly a week, residents of Hebron, the largest city in the occupied #WestBank, have been living under crippling security conditions imposed by Israeli forces following a shooting attack on Israeli soldiers on 23 October.
More than 3,000 Palestinians have reportedly been forcibly displaced from their homes as part of a large-scale Israeli security forces operation that has also seen extensive demolitions of houses and private property.
A near-total lockdown across large parts of Hebron has severely restricted residents’ freedom of movement and their ability to access critical services.
These developments bring alarming echoes of the massive displacement witnessed in the northern occupied West Bank in early 2025, where more than 34,000 #Palestine Refugees from Jenin, Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps remain forcibly displaced over a year later.
Any form of collective punishment is contrary to international law.
All those forcibly displaced must be allowed to return, with their dignity and rights under international law respected.
Access to essential services must be protected.
These latest developments also unfold against the backdrop of the Israeli Knesset election, as tensions across the occupied West Bank remain high.
@UNRWA, working closely with other humanitarian partners and the Palestinian Authority, has mobilized with the Hebron Governorate and Municipality to respond to urgent needs on the ground, distributing emergency assistance, including blankets, mattresses and pillows, to affected families.
UNRWA is proud to be part of the @UN family.
We share its mission: to advance sustainable development, uphold human rights, and save future generations from the scourge of war, leaving no one behind, wherever they are.
For #Palestine Refugees, we put these principles into practice every day, providing humanitarian assistance and essential services that help them live with dignity.
This #UNDay, we reaffirm our commitment to refugee communities until a just and lasting solution to their plight is found.

A tragedy not representative of the values of Jordan which stands out as a beacon of unity, cooperation, and tolerance in an increasingly polarized world. @UNRWA stands with the Royal family, the government & the people of #Jordan at this difficult time.
UNRWA condemns the terrible terrorist attack on the church in Hmoud. We mourn those killed and wish the injured a swift recovery. We stand with our host nation Jordan.
Places of worship must be sanctuaries of peace and safety. Attacks on civilians and religious sites are indefensible.
The international community must do everything to support peace, tolerance, and respect for the rights and faiths of all.

“The window of opportunity is narrowing. But it has not yet closed.
There is still an opportunity - and an obligation - to act.
To uphold international law.
To protect the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people.
To sustain the institutions that serve them.
And to preserve the possibility of a just and lasting peace.
This is not a call for charity.
It is a call for responsibility.”
