I'm going to say what I see happening with the new Grammy category: they'll nominate groups in this category so they have an excuse to invite them to perform, bait the audience, then give the award to whichever group has the biggest contract with a U.S. distribution and marketing label.
And they'll keep BTS out of the other categories because they're already boxed into the 'Asian' label and category. 💁🏽‍♀️💁🏽‍♀️

Maybe I shouldn't even get into this… but it’s honestly just too much for me. 😀

I think it is pretty obvious that this decision to introduce their first category dedicated exclusively to Asian music is not a step toward inclusion; it is a concerning strategy of cultural segregation disguised as diversity.

By creating a "separate" space, they aren't celebrating the global impact of these artists, they are isolating them from the main stage 😤😡

Instead of allowing them to compete on equal footing in the major categories (the ones with the real weight and prestige), they are relegating them to a musical ghetto that only serves to clean up the organization's image without giving up an inch of their actual ground.

True inclusion isn't about creating consolation categories to keep international artists tucked away in their own corner. True inclusion is recognizing that music is a universal language and that talent, regardless of its origin, deserves the main stage.

I feel ashamed, sad, and completely disgusted 💩
