Grok Imagine. What an improvement from a year ago. I made a little sketch on paper, asked the following after uploading the sketch:
"Using the sketch on paper, create a photorealistic depiction of the subject"
On the 2nd picture of the first instance, it was 90% accurate. Wow.
Domino’s UK just roasted the new God of War game, and Santa Monica Studio got mad and responded quickly.
Domino’s UK posted:
“God of War game with no Kratos = Pepperoni Passion with no pepperoni.”
It went viral and Santa Monica Studio got so mad:
“OK thanks for the feedback, Domino's pizza corporate account.”
When a pizza company makes fun of your game, you know something is wrong.
Amazon may own the rights, but we the fans kept Stargate alive 🫡 We shall not give up on getting that new series made by the one who gave us so much depth and vision over the years since the first episode of SG1.
It’s not the end folks. Keep reminding Amazon MGM of their error.
Animation by me #stargate #sg1
I'm taking the day off. Every single post in my feed is about the cancellation of #stargate and I am devastated by it.
Please, share this "poll" around. It's really just a counter, to show how many Stargate fans are out there.
Thank you.

Stargate remains a very masculine SciFi franchise. Especially after the first couple of seasons you didn't see much pussyfooting around with the SG-1 or Atlantis team.
When in trouble, shoot the bad guys with a gun.
If that doesn't work, shoot the bad guys with a bigger gun.
Or blow them up with C4.
Or use alien technology to do them in.
The lessons they learned to save the day in one episode are then remembered and used to save the day in the next. A novel concept!
Small wonder why the suits at Amazon cancelled Martin Gero and the gang.
Disappointed is the best word for this. But in a way, relieved knowing that the creators were going to bring us back for one more trip through the gate.
I don't suppose @elonmusk could talk to @JeffBezos about this. Stargate has stories, told and to be told. Just step through.
Sadly, it's true. Amazon has elected not to move forward with the new Stargate series.
There's not much I can add beyond confirming what's happened. But I will say this...
Creator Martin Gero developed a new Stargate series over two years, ultimately crafting a show that offered a fresh jumping-on point for new viewers while deeply respecting existing canon. It was a series that avoided the pitfalls of several modern remakes and reboots by fully embracing the core of its predecessors: action, adventure, exploration, wonder, heart, humor, and found family. And based on that creative vision, the new Stargate series was greenlit in November of 2025.
As of today, officially, that original vision is no more. We'll never get the opportunity to introduce you to that world and those characters - or reintroduce you to, and check in with, some familiar faces from the past.
My heart breaks. For the incredibly talented writers who worked tirelessly to bring this show to life. For Martin who maintained an unwavering positive outlook throughout despite the challenges, and who always strove to make a show that would honor the fans while welcoming a new audiences. And for the long-suffering Stargate fandom who waited so long and came so close to getting a show they truly would have loved.
HEY @amazon@AmazonMGMStudio
I REFUSE to believe that the original creators of #Stargate would have created something that wouldn't have had broad appeal. They are extremely talented people that created one of the biggest franchises in our time. REVERSE this decision!
LET THEM SHOW YOU AND US WHAT THEY CREATED.
Look at what is happening to Disney Star Wars at the box office right now. Look at how the new Star Trek Academy went.
WHY do you keep making the same mistakes?!?
IT'S NOT TOO LATE. LET GERO, JOE AND THE OG'S COOK!
You may or may not care about Stargate.
But you should know that a new show was in development and Amazon canceled it because it would appeal to Stargate Fans.
This is how all the big studios feel about your favorite franchise, btw.
So @AmazonMGMStudio where did it go so wrong to go from this announcement video only 6 months ago to now?
I think an official statement is warranted outside of the Variety & Deadline scoops?

That's the thing with the Stargate community. We're a family and bunch of doers. "Do not" does not fit in our lexicon. If we need to do this ourselves, we will. A fan made Stargate replica was made this week and showcased. That's ingenuity and dedication. Challenge accepted Amazon. Back of the line with you.
We need to find a way to #SaveStargate ✨
Enough is enough. After seeing the alleged reasons ranging from it’s too focused on dedicated fans lol & they want a showrunner who isn’t part of the old guard for a “fresh take …. Like bruh.
I’m not happy about this. Stargate fans are a broad fanbase and cast a wide net. This fandom has kept that series alive on life support for YEARS.
The frank disrespect to those people... it’s unforgivable unless Amazon makes a statement on this with clear reasons as to why this happened. If not it just shows their opening stream meant nothing really. It was never about fans and they want to carry on the path many other IPs have trod on for the last few years. Have we not learnt anything?
I’ll keep making art, animations and videos, but unless we see some resolution to this. I like many others have clocked out from thinking anything is coming ever again.
It’s been 15 years. It was just cruel to lead us down a garden path like that.
#stargate
99% of my entire X feed is people I've never seen being hurt by Amazon's shelving of Martin Gero's Stargate project. I'm so proud of this community. We ARE the broad audience.
What's incredibly stupid with this move by @Amazon is that the market was ripe for quality scifi after NuTrek and Star Wars burned down their own houses chasing a "modern audience" that doesn't exist.
Disappointed but not surprised — I've seen what they did to Star Trek. At least they can't corrupt Stargate.
Stargate was made in a hopeful optimistic era of the late 90's when we thought tech would elevate us- not rule us. Can't give people hope anymore. Hope is dangerous.
