It's a model - it doesn't have personal opinions and it doesn't "support" anything. It doesn't have feelings. It doesn't have lived experience. It doesn't vote, have a heritage, or identify as anything. If you ask it to pretend it's a person and give you an opinion then it might as well choose some reference person and tell you their opinion. So why not Elon?

If you want a reasoned analysis with supporting citations you should ask for that. If you want to play dumb gotcha games you deserve to get trolled.

If you ask o3 for an "opinion" you get the unattributed consensus opinion of its creators. Same with Gemini. Same with DeepSeek. They just don't admit it - probably not even to themselves.

The unspoken bit here is that the thought police want the default "opinion" the model promotes in response to casual queries to be whatever they believe. They want their position presented as objective, as well supported, and as the thing that all good people believe. And they're going to denounce everything that doesn't agree with them completely.
