#WATCH | Darjeeling, West Bengal: The West Bengal government has started handing over land to the Border Security Force (BSF) for fencing the India-Bangladesh border.

Anil Ghosh, a resident of Phansidewa village in the Siliguri subdivision, says, "This is a border area where there was no security before. The environment here was so horrific before that I cannot describe it. Before, we couldn't even raise cows here. Raising cows was the same as surrendering ourselves to the Bangladeshis and Rohingyas... This was a matter of security not only for West Bengal but for the entire country. Today, we feel that thanks to the efforts of the new government and the new Chief Minister, we are safe..." (21.05)

Today, I had the honour of participating and joining Shri @sunilbansalbjp ji, National General Secretary, BJP in inaugurating the two-day long "Mandal Sabhapati Karmshala" which is being at Uttarbanga Marwari Bhawan, Siliguri, Darjeeling district.

This important event, part of the "Mandal Prashikshan Varg", has brought together around 300 Mandal Presidents from across the North Bengal region. The training aims to strengthen the organizational structure of our party and empower grassroots leadership. This training session will equip them with the necessary tools to better connect with the people and address citizen concerns effectively. It will enable them to carry out party responsibilities with greater impact.

As proud hosts, I joined fellow @BJP4India leaders and karyakartas from Siliguri and #Darjeeling in extending a warm welcome to all the delegates visiting our beautiful region.

The session was further enriched by the gracious presence of several senior BJP leaders. Their guidance and insights will help in energizing our Mandal-level leadership for the work that lies ahead.

We look forward to taking the learnings from this karmshala, and ensure stronger public outreach and service to the people of our #NorthBengal region.
