Shawn Levy says he'd "love" to see a 'Backrooms' x 'Star Wars' crossover:
"I can’t help but be captivated by a ‘Backrooms’ x ‘Star Wars’ mashup—and luckily, I’ve got a little involvement in both so I’ll see what I can do"
Martin Scorsese is now a partner and advisor for a generative AI startup
He says he's using AI during preproduction to help storyboard projects
“I’m interested in the intersection of technology and storytelling, and seeing how that can push the bounds of creativity to create deeper and richer experiences for audiences ... cinema is a young medium ... we have to be open to how it can evolve"

@feraltribble@Bagodictionary@shitterly@thisbadwitch The person can relate to whatever they want, I was just saying that to imply the film was intentionally trying to depict BPD with Nikki kinda just further stigmatizes BPD. Not saying their essay inherently does that but still.
@cupidluvsu@cinderrpaw@cinemattie Like Bear is lonely because of his own unwillingness to actually express his feelings, he makes the wish because his masculinity is too fragile to be vulnerable in front of Nikki. He’s so afraid of rejection he takes away her ability to reject him which is terrifying.
@cupidluvsu@cinderrpaw@cinemattie Yeah I agree, I think an under appreciated scene is the opening where Bear expresses his feelings for Nikki earnestly and Ian tells him he sounds stupid and cringe. Because it shows how toxic masculinity directly causes the “male loneliness epidemic”.
@cupidluvsu@cinderrpaw@cinemattie The annoying thing is the film actually does have quite a lot of depth but everyone thinks they’re a genius for pointing it out despite it being apparent to most viewers who payed attention.
