Before the jury deliberated, here are the last words of Dan’s closing speech they heard:

"Whatever happens, whatever you decide, and whatever consequences I may or may not face, I will be at peace knowing that the dog I carried out of that place is living a happy life because of what we did.
To me, and to them, that is worth everything.”

The 5 defendants in Beagle Rescue Trial 4 have just been ACQUITTED of burglary after nearly 10 hours of deliberation!

This is the second acquittal of beagle rescuers and another clear sign that the UK is rejecting MBR Acres and the use of dogs in animal testing.
With just one Beagle Trial left to go, MBR Acres must be feeling the weight of public opinion.

🐶 Yesterday, Beagle Rescue Trial Group 4 began their court proceedings after being charged with burglary for rescuing beagle puppies from MBR Acres.

Rose, Dev, Andy, John and Jenny are the five defendants currently on trial at Peterborough Crown Court, where they are justifying their decision to rescue puppies in December 2022.

⚖️ Tomorrow at Cambridge Crown Court, Nathan and four fellow beagle rescuers, Hannah, Lew and Eben, will be sentenced following their burglary convictions, each facing the possibility of up to ten years in prison.

Together, they saved 28 beagle puppies from MBR Acres - a breeding facility where puppies are routinely bled and sold into animal testing laboratories.
